Quilts and Covers is a service project of the Cottonwood Quilt Guild, done to provide the warmth and comfort of quilts to men, women and children whose lives are in upheaval.  In previous years the quilts have been donated to various organizations including Child Saving Institute, Rainbow House, Open Door Mission/Lydia House, Emergency Pregnancy Services, Sienna Francis House, Women's Care Center of the Heartland and others.

Donated fabrics (cotton fabrics only, fat quarter size or bigger) and batting are made into kits that can be used for twin or child size quilts.  There are kits for piecing and kits for quilting or tying.

Quilter's Day Out is scheduled for March 24, 2012.  On this day, we will work exclusively on Quilts and Covers.  Watch for details and plan to attend.
