Quilt Check In and Out Instructions

HOW TO CHECK IN/OUT ITEMS FOR THE QUILT SHOW
 
Bring the completed receipt form (available for download on this page) along with your items.  You may have two judged items and a maximum of seven items total in the show.  Remember to have your name covered if the item is to be judged.  Please have all quilts folded with the back side out and the lower right corner, as you look at the back of the quilt on top.  This will make it easy for you to pin the muslin numbers to your quilt.  Your numbers will be assigned by the category that the item is entered under.

Check in will begin at 6pm Monday (October 21) and 9am Tuesday (October 22) before our regular meeting times.  Both judged and non-judged items must be turned at either of these times.
 
CHECK IN PROCEDURES
 
You will be given an envelope with your quilt name and the assigned number on it.  Inside will be muslin squares with your numbers.  You will pin the number to the correct quilt.

You will then take your items and your receipt to the check in area.  A guild member will check them in, sign the receipt, and return it to you.  If you will not be picking up your items, this  needs to be noted along with the person who will receive them for you.  Items WILL NOT be released without your receipt! 
 
CHECK OUT PROCEDURES
 
Check out will begin after the show.  All frames will be loaded on trucks before check out begins (usually not before 5:40pm )  Check out will then begin.  You will Give your receipt to a quilt runner.  She will gather your quilts.  You will sign the receipt that you have received them and the receipt will be filed in your envelope.  Check out will continue until 6:30.
 
CHECK IN HELPERS
 
Monday evening volunteers please be ready to work by 5:55.  Tuesday morning volunteers please be ready to work by 8:55.
 
CHECK OUT HELPERS
 
Please be there at the close of the show to help sort quilts and distribute them.
