"A Case for Smiles" Summer Retreat
June 25-27, 2010

Mark your calendar! The summer retreat will be held June 25-27. Early birds may arrive on June 24th. For this retreat, we will take reservations for 2, 3 or 4 to a room.  If you haven’t been to Carol Joy Holling, you are in for a real treat. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a kitchen that is fully stocked with a variety of beverages and snacks. The sewing space is well lighted and very comfortable. You can hang a flannel sheet from the cork strip that runs around the perimeter of the room, if you want a design wall.

The rates are:
$99 per night per person, for a double room (2 queen beds)
$88 per night per person, for a triple room (2 queens and a roll-away)
$77 per night per person, for a quadruple room (2 queens and a roll-away)
Friday’s dinner is provided by the camp. Saturday offers 3 meals and Sunday 2 meals.

There will be 2 ways to register. You can sign up at the Retreat table at April’s Guild meeting, OR there will soon be a hot link on the Retreat web page, that you can fill out and mail to Karen A.  A payment is required at the time of registration. Registration is DUE NO LATER THAN June 1.

This retreat’s theme will be “A Case for Smiles”. If attendees would like to participate in a very worthwhile cause, we will be asking you to make one (or more) pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer. These bright and cheery pillowcases will be given to children who are hospitalized with cancer. Our very own Donna and Cathy will be demonstrating their construction. Yardages and instructions will be provided to registrants prior to the retreat.

On Saturday, we will be offering a wine and cheese evening on the patio. We will provide the cheese and crackers, it’s up to you to bring the beverage of your choice.

If you have any questions, please contact one of the Retreat Committee members.
